Peanut Butter Green Apple Bars
Serves 6 (2 bars each)
Ingredients
Peanut Butter Base
- 1 Tbsp. Carlson Cod Liver Oil, green apple
- 2 Tbsp. of creamy peanut butter
- ¼ cup of honey
- ½ tsp. of ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. of salt
- ½ cup of old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup of toasted rice cereal
- ¼ cup of mixed chopped dried fruit (such as apple, apricot, cranberries)
- 2 Tbsp. of chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. of roasted pumpkin seeds
- 2 Tbsp. of mini chocolate chips
Directions
- Combine the ingredients for the peanut butter base; stir until smooth.
- Place oat mixture ingredients in a large bowl; stir.
- Pour peanut butter base over oat mixture; stir thoroughly.
- Transfer mixture to a silicone loaf pan or a parchment-lined loaf pan. Press down hard with the back of a spatula to firmly pack the mixture into the pan.
- Chill for at least 4 hours, then cut into 12 bars.
- Store bars in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
