  • Promotes cognitive, vision, and mood health
  • 910 mg of DHA in a single half teaspoon
  • Plant-based and vegetarian
  • Delicious natural lemon flavor
  • Lab tested for potency and quality

DHA is one of the most beneficial omega-3s, but a vegetarian diet may not provide an adequate amount. A plant-based supplement can be a great option. DHA is important for people of all ages to support cognitive, vision, and mood health. And it's especially important for women who are pregnant or nursing, as it promotes healthy brain and vision development in growing children.

Vegetarian DHA comes in delicious, natural lemon flavor and can be taken directly from the spoon or mixed into yogurt, blended into a smoothie, or poured over a salad. Carlson Vegetarian DHA provides 910 mg of DHA in a single half teaspoon and is tested by an FDA-registered laboratory for freshness, potency, and purity.

Tastes better than fish oil!

"This plant-based vegetarian DHA is supposed to have a "delicious, natural lemon flavor." I do not think it is delicious, but easily tolerable. To me it has a taste that is lemon flavored plus a slight mossy, almost fishy taste. I take it directly from a 1/2 tsp. measuring spoon. Unlike DHA derived from fish, which I've taken in the past, the taste does not linger on the tongue if followed by a small amount of water or food, and it doesn't cause burping fishy taste later. If you are like I, this is an important consideration! Another important consideration is that it has "been tested by an FDA-registered laboratory for freshness, potency, and purity.""

Excellent offering by reputable company

"Had been looking for a high dose non-fish source of Omega 3 FA and came uo disappointed every time. Saw this and bought it happily. Now am able to provide this option to family and others looking for algal source high dose Omega 3 FA. My only complaint would be that I sincerely wish Carlson can come up with a high dose non-fish EPA product as well."
