Maintaining a healthy prostate is an essential part of men's health and well-being. Incorporating nutritional supplements into your daily routine can provide substantial support for prostate function. These beneficial add-ons are packed with vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that play key roles in maintaining a balanced diet and promoting overall health.

Maintain Healthy Prostate Function

  • Stinging nettle promotes urinary tract health and healthy prostate function. Stinging nettle leaves can be eaten as a cooked vegetable, but most prefer to get this nutrient through supplementation.
  • Lycopene, found in tomatoes, is an effective free radical scavenger and is found in high amounts in the prostate, testes, and adrenal glands. Cooked tomato products, such as tomato sauce, are a great source of lycopene.
  • Saw Palmetto supports prostate health. Supplements are made from the ripe fruit of the Saw Palmetto Tree.
  • The prostate gland has a much higher zinc concentration than any other tissue in the body. Zinc is required to metabolize male hormones and promote overall health. Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc and are a great way to increase our levels.
  • Essential fatty acids support optimal health. We can get  omega-3s by eating fish or taking a fish oil supplement.
  • Selenium is a potent antioxidant found in high amounts in healthy prostate tissue. Selenium found in plant foods is mostly attributed to the soil in which it’s grown. In the United States, our soil is sorely lacking in this critical nutrient. Selenium can also be found in seafood, like tuna and shrimp.
  • Pygeum Africanum is extracted from the bark of an African tree. It also promotes prostate health.
